![]() ![]() If you've got nothing else on your gaming plate and like to shoot dudes in the head, this is worth a look. Hey I purchased Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 digitally on my XBOX 360 back in either June or July of 2017. As frustrating as some parts were, I went back and replayed certain levels Just to sneak around and snipe people. Assault rifle/Run n Gun missions bring nothing to the table.Ĭoncensus - Rent it or steam sale it. I know most of you hate this but, personally, I kind of enjoy it. ![]() The upside to this is that you'll figure out 'the system' a few missions into the game and will be able to become hidden again. (not game killing but extremely weird and bothersome bug) Gameplay features realistic bullet physics that factors distance, wind, and bullet drop when sniping targets. Moving up steps in the game while crouching can be buggy. Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is a tactical shooter video game developed and published by City Interactive that employs stealth, hand-to-hand assassinations and titular sniping techniques. Most of these missions allow you to kill people so long as someone else doesn't see it, so it's not completely terrible. If you don't mind a bit of trial and error, you'll only run into this issue a few times. Certain checkpoints made me want to murder someone. Checkpoints are (for the most part) reasonable Disclaimer-only played SP & didn't touch MP. Overall I enjoyed the game, but it is absolutely not without it's faults. I love sniping/silenced pistol action in games, so I figured I had to play this one. ![]() They really never get old.Looks like this is the only thread around for this game, but I just wanted to say that I rented it (360) a week ago and completed it yesterday. And you'll be rewarded for your good aim with what has become a sniping game staple: slow-mo bullet cams. Ghost Warrior 2 clearly won't let you run around in the open shooting guys with your eye magically glued to a perfectly steady scope, but it also won't make you wait too long to topple a dude who's standing too close to a ledge. Other ease-of-use additions include the ability to permanently "tag" enemies by observing them through binoculars so that you can track their movement, and thermal goggles which allow you to target enemies through smoke and light cover. It isn't realistic, but it strikes a balance between continuous action and methodical sniping. Another compromise is a move from semi-auto rifles in Ghost Warrior to primarily bolt-action rifles in Ghost Warrior 2, but with in-scope reloading. It's a tough challenge for developer City Interactive: how do you make a sniping game which appeals to both Call of Duty fans and people like me, who care if a SIG-Sauer SSG 3000 doesn't make the right noise? The custom difficulty setting is just part of the solution. ![]()
